Untitled design (1)-3Southern Nazarene University (SNU) offers a range of graduate programs in business degrees. These programs equip students with the skills and values necessary to excel in career paths as business leaders.  Dr. Keith Toles, Jr. serves as the Graduate Business Program Director.  Dr. Toles’ extensive background in both academia and the business world uniquely positions him to guide students in the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration (MBA-HC), and Master of Science in Management (MSM) programs.

Meet Dr. Keith Toles Jr.

"The most valuable element of our program is the Christian worldview," explains Dr. Toles. "We help prepare business leaders to excel with integrity, compassion, and stewardship."  He believes that blending academic excellence and spiritual growth is essential for preparing ethical and effective business leaders. Designed to challenge students intellectually, these programs also foster personal and spiritual development.

Dr. Keith Toles Jr. brings a wealth of experience to SNU. Before joining the faculty, he founded and operated businesses in various industries, including sports apparel, marketing, transportation, e-commerce, and lawn and landscape. His professional background also includes roles in financial services and information technology. His extensive real-world experience and academic expertise make him an invaluable resource for students.

Dr. Toles is particularly passionate about leading and developing the next generation of business leaders. He believes that understanding business concepts is crucial for analyzing and interpreting the world. His favorite course to teach is the MBA Capstone course. The course features a business simulation where students act as CEOs, making strategic decisions and competing against their classmates.

This hands-on experience is instrumental in transforming theoretical knowledge into practical skills, fostering critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence. "I love guiding the learners through the simulation," Dr. Toles says. "In Week 1, the learners are nervous and anxious, but by the end of the course they have developed practical skills and gained confidence in their decision-making abilities."

Program Highlights

SNU’s Graduate Programs in Business include the MBA, MBA-HC, and MSM. Accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), these programs earned SNU recognition as a School of Distinction in Business for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Each program is designed to meet the diverse needs of aspiring business professionals. Keeping busy adult learners in mind, the degree programs feature accelerated learning paths. With six-week courses, graduates can complete their degree in as little as 12-18 months.

Unlike some business degree programs, students can pursue their graduate degree in-person or 100% online*. Multiple start dates a year mean that learners can start their degree in business administration when they're ready.

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA): This program provides a comprehensive foundation in business principles, preparing graduates for leadership roles across various industries. The curriculum covers essential topics such as finance, marketing, management, international business, and strategic planning.

SNU’s Business and Leadership Network is an invaluable resource for current students, alumni, and members of the OKC business community. Monthly meetings held on SNU’s Bethany campus offer members opportunities to engage in productive networking and continued learning about latest industry innovations and trends. Attendees can generate referrals and tap into each other’s expertise. SNU Graduate Business Professors and local business leaders are featured speakers, sharing valuable knowledge and experience. Together, they work to increase the collective knowledge and success of the network’s members.

  • Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration (MBA-HC): Tailored for those looking to advance in the healthcare sector. This program combines core business concepts with specialized courses in healthcare management. Students gain insights into the unique challenges and opportunities within the healthcare industry. *15 hours of courses necessary for Healthcare are offered online only.
  • Master of Science in Management (MSM): The MSM program focuses on advanced management techniques and organizational leadership. It is ideal for professionals seeking to enhance their managerial skills and advance their careers. *12 hours of courses necessary for Management are offered online only.

Oklahoma City boasts an increasingly diversified economy. While aviation and aerospace make up much of OKC’s employment and economic impact, bioscience, energy, and logistics industries also play large roles. Outside these primary industry sectors, back-office operations for insurance, telecommunications, and payroll processing comprise a large piece of employment and economic growth as well. Graduates with MSM degrees from SNU can be invaluable to their local community, serving in executive, logistic, and managerial roles in these industries.
