So, how do you decide?
First, consider what you enjoy doing and where you want a degree to take you in your career. Hearing from other adult students who are either in school or have graduated is also a good idea.
If you’re still at a loss, but know you want to go back to college, consider a degree that provides plenty of options post-graduation. Certain programs, like Family Studies and Gerontology, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, and General Studies provide the clout and benefits of a college degree while still leaving the door open for multiple career paths.
A current SNU student said: “I chose the Organizational Leadership degree program, because of the versatility of its use. When I began this program, I really did not know what I wanted to do after graduation. Organizational Leadership carries many facets of business and management that I will be able to use regardless of which career field I got into.”
Something that sets SNU apart is the willingness of advisors to guide students through choosing a major. They make it a point to learn your interests and goals, so you can be in the degree program that suits your needs. If you have questions or want advice on choosing a major, email admissions@snu.edu or call 888-SNU-GRAD.
