[Bethany, OK] - Southern Nazarene University (SNU) is proud to announce an exciting study abroad opportunity for a group of students in the Doctor of Education in Administration and Leadership (DEAL) degree program.
As part of the Global Perspectives in Leadership course in SNU’s doctoral program, students will have the opportunity to visit the Nazarene Theological College in Manchester, England in the summer of 2025. NTC provides opportunities at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels and will be an excellent occasion to participate in discussions and seminars with other doctoral students.
Students will also have the opportunity to visit and observe local schools and agencies to consider similarities and differences in leadership practices between their own context and Manchester. Dr. Deirdre Brower Latz is creating a panel of local leaders to share their philosophy and practices in leadership.
A group of 10 student travelers will travel from June 22 to July 1, 2025, and will include a few days in London prior to train travel to Manchester. DEAL Program Director Dr. Stephoni Case recently made a preliminary trip to visit NTC and arrange for an experience that will impact students’ perspectives on leadership in other countries. “International travel has opened my mind to other people and other cultures - as well as understanding how I am perceived as an American," explains Dr. Case. "I know that DEAL students will benefit in measurable ways as well as undefined, unmeasurable ways.”
