[Bethany, Oklahoma] - Southern Nazarene University (SNU) congratulates Dr. Keith Toles Jr., Director of Graduate Programs in Business, on his recognition as a distinguished recipient of the 2024 ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). According to the ACBSP, this prestigious accolade is bestowed upon educators who demonstrate outstanding teaching ability within the academic realm.
"We are proud of Dr. Toles' great work in the SNU Graduate Programs in Business. His leadership in these programs is visionary and strong, and his work in the classroom is impactful as well, as evidenced by this prestigious award. Dr. Toles's leadership, teaching, and research ensure SNU's graduate Business programs are faith-filled and transformational," commented Dr. Melissa Lewis, Professional and Graduate Studies Vice President for Academic Affairs at SNU.
Recognized for his commitment to excellence in the classroom, Dr. Toles will be traveling to Miami, Florida, June 27-30 for the ACBSP Conference, where he will be celebrated along with other regional awardees. He will be presented with a crystal medallion and a $500 honorarium during the event. As a regional recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award, Dr. Toles is eligible to receive the International Teaching Excellence Award. Recipients of the international award will be announced at the conference in Miami and formally recognized at the ACBSP Accreditation and Awards Gala.
"I have a great zeal for teaching business courses and helping learners become one step closer to completing their degrees," says Dr. Toles, who resides with his wife in the Oklahoma City Metro Area. Having owned and operated businesses in the marketing, sports apparel, e-commerce, transportation, and lawn & landscape industries, Dr. Toles loves business and entrepreneurship and says he is always looking for his next business venture.
Dr. Toles holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Ministry degree, both from Mid-American Christian University. He completed his Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) in Strategy and Innovation at Capella University. Dr. Toles said his purpose in teaching at SNU is to help students develop a deeper understanding of business, adding, "Business helps construct ways to understand and analyze the world. The SNU environment will not only help you reach your academic goals, but enable you to reach your God-given potential!"
