[Bethany, OK] - Southern Nazarene University (SNU) proudly announces that alum Adam Edwards is honored as one of Black Leaders Worldwide’s 2024 Men to Watch. Mr. Edwards graduated from SNU in 2024 with his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration (MBA-HC) degree. An Oklahoma native and former NFL player, Adam is the NFL Oklahoma Chapter’s Degree Completion Ambassador, helping former athletes complete degrees at the university of their choice.
Combining his business savvy with the knowledge and skills honed through earning his business degree, Mr. Edwards has made a notable mark in the local and national business community. In addition to his various business ventures, Adam was fortunate to partner with the Shark Tank’s Daymond John on the “Venture Draft,” where tech, athletes, and venture capital meet. Sworn in by Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt, Mr. Edwards currently serves as a trustee for the Oklahoma City Riverfront Redevelopment Authority.
His combined passions for business and healthcare advocacy have led him to take a leadership role in many important causes. Mr. Edwards was appointed National Ambassador for Passion for Healing, a medical mission program in Nairobi, Kenya, and a “Pink Tie Guy” for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection. Adam was also a board member of the Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund, which provides education and resources for HIV and AIDS.
