Attend when it's convenient for you—
no commute, no classrooms!
SNU prepares aspiring educational leaders to work in a range of fields, including educational institutions, non-profits, small businesses, and even large corporations. All of our certificate, graduate, and doctorate programs were created by educators for educators, and are taught by current school administrators. Through their experiences, you'll explore real-world educational challenges and solutions so you can transform the lives of students and play a role in building a better, brighter educational future.
SNU's degree programs are designed specifically for busy adults. Our built-for-success programs offer superior flexibility so you can still work, raise a family, or tend to other commitments while you earn your degree.
Teacher Loan Forgiveness
If you're going back to school with some work experience under your belt, you may qualify for Teacher Loan Forgiveness. This Federal Aid program awards students who have taught in a low-income school or an educational service agency for five consecutive years up to $17,500 towards the cost of tuition.
Built-In Support System
From day one, you work with a cohort of peers who crave success just as much as you do. This built-in system of support inspires you to work hard, encourages you to consider alternative perspectives, and will eventually become a powerful professional network.
One Class at a Time
SNU’s accelerated degree programs cater to busy adults and boast a one-class-at-a-time model of instruction that ensures true command of each subject. This makes it possible to get to know your professors, study the research in the field, and integrate classroom insights into your personal and professional lives.
Online and In-Person Options
We understand you don't have a lot of time, and that shouldn't stand in the way of your education. Whether you choose to come to one of our campuses one night a week or finish your degree program completely online, you have the freedom to select the method that's most convenient for you.
SNU is committed to the success and well-being of all our students. Here are all of the different ways we help you succeed.
Disability Services
A disability doesn't have to be a barrier to higher achievement, nor to giving back to the world. Our Disability Services Office works with you to determine which accommodations might help you succeed. We advocate for students with disabilities because we recognize their unique worldview is indispensable to our school.
Financial Aid
Financing your terminal degree is a simple process at SNU. The majority of SNU students are eligible for financial aid. Many receive enough assistance to cover all costs of school, including books, housing, and other secondary expenses. We are happy to help you identify and address your financial needs.
At SNU, we have the highest academic standards. We are regionally accredited, which means we submit to third party reviews and apply rigorous standards to our programs.
"SNU has been instrumental in reminding me that it’s never too late. Our class has a group chat going with daily affirmations and support for each other. We share in celebrating the birth of children, grandchildren, and weddings, as well as mourn losses. It’s amazing."
Twyler Earl.
"MAEL is a unique, dynamic master’s degree program. Students network with educational leaders and learn best practices in school administration each week. As we see our graduates hired as administrators, we know they are entering a career in educational leadership well-prepared to serve their students, staff, and communities."
Dr. Amy Fichtner
"After careful consideration of both in-state and out-of-state doctoral programs, the SNU program was the first curriculum that addressed the areas of my education I am wanting to advance. With my busy schedule as a superintendent and rural location, the online format along with the dissertation advisor to guide me through the process will be a positive support system. I look forward to working with the faculty there to accomplish my personal and professional goals."
