Going back to school is much the same, as there are resources you need to make your time as a student as productive and successful as possible.

FREE Tutoring

Skills Workshops

Throughout the year, SNU offers workshops on a variety of topics, from financial aid, APA Style writing, academic writing, technology, and more. Keep an eye on your email and be sure to sign up for one when it comes available.

The Library

Even though you may not be a “traditional” student, the library is one of the most widely known resources at your disposal. You can check out books, asks librarians for help finding specific articles, and access research databases used across the country. (Click here to learn more about how to use the library!)

Renew Counseling Center

Let’s face it: going back to college as an adult is difficult. Renew Counseling Center is open to the community and for an affordable rate, you can meet with a counselor and create a plan of action to overcome whatever mental battles you are facing.

The Chaplain

One of the benefits of going to a private, Christian college is the access you have to a chaplain who is there to help you grow spiritually. The chaplain can help with anything from adding you to his prayer list to visiting you and a family member in the hospital. All you have to do is ask.

The VETS Center

Veterans and their family members can make use of the Veterans Educational Transitions Success (VETS) Center. The Center helps these individuals receive their veterans benefits and make the transition to academic and civilian life.

Disability Services

If you think you may need accommodations to perform your best as a student, visit Disability Services to get the best help possible. They are there to make sure you have what you need to be successful.

Your Professors

Your professors are experts on all things SNU, as well as the subject matter. Don’t hesitate to ask them questions or for advice. They will be one of your greatest resources and advocates during your time as a student.

Your Peers

Who knows better what you’re going through than those sitting in class beside you each week? Lean on them for help, whether it’s studying together or talking together about what it’s like to be an adult student.
